Photo Gallery - 2008 Float Construction & Rollout
The construction of the float is done entirely by volunteers in the "float barn", as it is affectionately known. This is really the historic Evergreen Farm barn, generously donated by Bill Littlejohn. The construction takes place from January through early April. The end of the process is a "decorating" party where the outer appearance is finished. A "Float Rollout" occurs just before the first parade of the year. It is the first time the float is taken out of the barn and royalty get to see it.
