Sequim Irrigation Festival

On Monday, April 16th the traditional ceremony to open the Highland Irrigation District Irrigation ditch headgate was conducted with the 2012 Royalty.

The headgate is the location on the Dungeness River where the water is directed to the irrigation ditch. It is normally opened around April 15th and closed again in September.
