Festival Lapel Pin Design
Sherry Scharschmidt was the winner for her design that incorporates the concept of Discover the Treasure of Sequim.
Sherry began fine arts studies at U.C. Berkeley in the mid 70's, then transferred to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Her 26-year career as an art director and creative director for ad agencies has taken her to New York, Tokyo and Chicago. She currently divides her time between her parents' home in Sequim, her 30-acre parcel where she plans to build a house, and her office in Chicago.
Sherry's paintings combine salvaged sign letters with images of slightly demented cats and dogs. Her work has been featured in shows around the Chicago area and is available for sale at retail stores throughout Illinois.
