Sequim Irrigation Festival

The Irrigation Ditches were designed and developed by D R Callen. Because the concept was so far out, he was dubbed Crazy Cal. Crazy Daze is Sequim's way of celebrating and honoring Crazy Cal. During the festival businesses in downtown Sequim dress crazy or decorate their windows and stores in a crazy manner.

Businesses and individuals come to this event in costume, perform skits and have a fun time. Awards are given to best skits. The winner of the Crazy Callen Award will receive the roaming Crazy Callen trophy, which is a sign of team spirit as it is displayed in your office or place of business for the next year. Other awards include a pizza party for your office or friends (up to 20 people), and other fun activities.

Awards were given in the following categories during the Crazy Daze Breakfast:

• Best Costume - Avonlea Lawrence
• Crazy Callen Award - Chris Coventon (logger clown)
• Royalty & Pioneer Award - Chris Coventon
• Chairman's Award - Sequim High School Operetta "Footloose"
• President's Award - Nikki Sturm and Theresa Rubens
