Each year the Grand Marshal is selected by the Irrigation Festival Committee as someone who has made significant contributions to the community.
2007 Grand Marshal John Kirner
John Fowler Kirner, son of Joseph and Mary Kirner, was born in 1904 in the Johnson Creek Valley east of Sequim, in the Palo Alto area. He lived most of his life in Sequim and was very active within the community. He was an Irrigation Festival Grand Pioneer in 1983 at the age of 78.
John passed away in June 2007.
