Kevin NeeIn terms of sheer size and strength, Kevin Nee is impressive. What’s really impressive is what he’s accomplished in the world of strongman competition at just 24 years of age. Nee is considered a top-ranked competitor in the World's Strongest Man competition and is the youngest man ever to compete in the event. He has also become the youngest American to ever be ranked top ten in the world, with his 8th place ranking in 2007 Met-rx World’s Strongest Man contest. He’s widely regarded in both the United States and abroad as “next,” and recently received his degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.

Nee is a passionate adventure athlete, whose remarkable accomplishments have been featured on several media outlets, including ESPN, Fox Sports Net, MTV and other networks. He has been featured in national and international publications including Men’s Fitness, Sports Illustrated, The Boston Globe and Kulturystyka, a Polish fitness magazine.

As one of the “Top 25 Fittest Men in the World” as featured in the June/July 2007 issue of Men’s Fitness Magazine, Nee is an example for all athletes. The list is comprised of men who over the past year have “harnessed the physical, mental and spiritual stamina needed to beat the odds, overcome obstacles, school their rivals and set personal bests to elevate their game to the next level,” according to the article. The list includes Tom Brady, Andy Roddick and Kobe Bryant.

While making appearances, competing and training, Nee’s future in the strongman world looks bright as one of World’s best dead lifters at 903 pounds (which is a strongman world record). As he prepares for the 2010 World’s Strongest Man Season, the premier event in strength athletics for nearly 30 years, Nee will be making appearances nationally as well as globally. Upcoming show dates include: Fit Expo in LA, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Viking Power Challenge in Norway and some other local US shows.

Nee was born in Hopedale, Mass., and currently resides and trains locally He is focused on helping others learn proper training techniques for success, and is also involved in the development of a signature line of equipment and apparel for strength athletes.
