The daughter of Tim and Lynn Elliott, Elisha, 17, is a junior at Sequim High School. She has one older brother who attends the Bradley University in Illinois, and a younger sister. Elisha and her family have lived in Sequim for the past seven years. Elisha credits horseback riding with making Sequim magical for her. Sequim came alive for her as she would go on her frequent Discovery Trail rides. She used to show her horse at 4H and received numerous awards, including those for riding, outfit design and rider. While she no longer has her own horse, she rides with friends whenever she can. Reading and learning don’t come easy for Elisha, but she works hard to maintain good grades. She hopes that by being a member of the Irrigation Festival Royalty Court that she will show other girls who have learning disabilities that they are special and they can do anything in life. “The only person that they need to prove anything to is themselves.” Elisha was shocked and happy to be selected as Irrigation Festival Princess. She is open to the new experiences that will come with traveling to different towns and cities – “you never know what will happen”. She is looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and making friends. |

Elisha Elliott is passionate about cooking. She plans to study at La Cordon Bleu Art Institute to become a professional chef and to study the food culture in Paris. To help her get there, she is already enrolled in culinary classes at the Skill Center in Port Angeles.
